What is Affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is when you promote another person’s or company’s product or service and make a commission for selling that product or service. This is usually done by creating an affiliate link and driving traffic to that link. When a sale is generated, a percentage will be given to the affiliate for driving that sale. The most common commission percentages are: 75 percent, 60 percent and 50 percent.
The commission truly depends on the seller or product creator and what they feel is fair to provide their seller. I usually try to go after products that pay 60 percent or more.
How Does Affiliate marketing work?
Affiliate marketing works by allowing people to promote other peoples or companies products/services so that they can generate more sales. They pay people to drive the traffic by giving them a cut of the sale.
When I first started out, I would create websites in small niches like “How to Lose Thigh Fat” and would rank easy to rank for keywords like “How to Lose Thigh Fat Fast” on Google. Then traffic would come to my blog and I would send that traffic to a Clickbank product within that niche and would earn a commission by doing that.
I would earn 20 dollars for every sale I sent to the product creator’s Clickbank product. Click bank would then pay me my commission at the end of the month via a check in the mail.
How Do You Drive Traffic To The Affiliate Products You Are Promoting?
There are multiple ways to drive traffic to your affiliate products. My favorite way is by creating a blog like ProfitDNA.com and writing informational article teaching people in that niche you are promoting how to fix or solve their problems.
For example: if they want to get rid of thigh fat, I would create articles teaching 20 different leg exercises that will burn thigh fat. Or you could write another article teaching the best diet to eat to burn thigh fat faster. The more articles you create, the more traffic you will drive to your blog and the more link clicks you will get to your affiliate link or affiliate image. The affiliate link or image will be provided to you at Clickbank. Each product has an affiliate page where you can create your unique affiliate link or affiliate image.
Best Traffic Methods For Driving More Sales to Your Affiliate Links
My second favorite method for driving traffic to an affiliate product is by creating informational and helpful videos on Youtube answering peoples most pertinent questions in the niche you are promoting. So, if you are promoting a product teaching people how to lose weight, you can make a video teaching people 10 Different Ways to Lose Weight Fast. You can either do this by creating a slide show presentation with images or you can create a video recording of yourself talking about how they can lose weight fast.
I have noticed that videos that contain real people talking or reviewing products get a LOT more views than just slide slow presentations without a face. This is because YouTube is an entertainment people and people go there to be entertained and like to watch other people live.
Now, if you created a blog and just created 1 article a day and in a year you have 365 articles. If you chose keywords that were easier to rank for in Google and you made it to page on of Google for just have those articles and got 1000 views a month per articles you would get over 100K views a month just from your blog alone. If only 10 percent of people reading your articles click on your Affiliate Link, that is 10,000 potential sales a month to your Clickbank product! Now imagine if only 10 percent bought the product – that would still be 1000 sales a month. If you make an average of 25 dollars a sale, you could potentially make 25,000 dollars a month just by promoting one Clickbank product!
Even if you are conservative and only receive 1 percent of people buying the product, you would still make 2500 dollars a month! This does not include advertisement revenue you can also make by putting Ezoic or Mediavine advertisements on your site. You could also put Amazon affiliate links on your site to gain additional income promoting physical products from their website.
Amazon is also really opportunistic because they offer a percentage of all sales that are driven to their site through your affiliate link.
Creating 365 articles isn’t easy and it usually takes around 9 to 10 months for an article to rank in Google. So it may take you a year or longer before your hard work pays off. But if you work really hard it is truly possible to make a good income online with affiliate marketing and blogging.

YouTube has become an absolute monster when it comes to driving free traffic to people’s affiiliate links. Think about it. YouTube is completely free to join and completely free to post content and videos to their website.

The key is to keep writing new content and to continue to create new High Quality and Highly Engagement Youtube videos for people to watch. People can also subscribe to your Youtube channel which means they will be notified every time you post a new video to your Youtube channel.
There really is power in numbers when it comes to internet marketing and selling products online!
